Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Albuquerque Airport is a safe and convenient place to spend the night if you have an early morning flight and want to avoid extra accommodation expenses. You will need to stay in the public area once security checkpoints close for the night. Be sure to bring something warm, as the air conditioning can be strong.
Where to rest: Most seats have armrests, but you can find some more comfortable chairs in the baggage claim and check-in areas. Just in case, it’s better to have a sleeping bag or blankets if you need to sleep on the floor. Additionally, several nearby hotels offer shuttle services if you book in advance.
Baggage: No luggage storage services available.
Eating and drinking: There are no food outlets open overnight, but vending machines are available.
Wi-Fi: Access is free.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, nursing room, pet relief areas.
