Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, also known as El Altet and opened on May 4, 1967, is one of the most important in Spain and the busiest in the Valencian Community. It operates domestic flights and several international destinations within Europe.

The airport is located in the town of Elche, 9 km (6 miles) southwest of the city of Alicante.

Parking General - Multi-level facility located in front of the main building.
Parking de Larga Estancia - Covered long stay car park 3 minutes from the terminal.
Parking express - Located next to the Arrivals area of the terminal, the first 10 minutes are free of charge.

Facilities include ramps, lifts, designated parking spaces and adapted toilets. Most airlines offer an escort service for unaccompanied minors between 5 and 12 years of age from the check-in area to the destination airport.
