Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, opened in 1942, is the second most important airport in India. It operates a large number of domestic flights and international routes across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Australia.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (domestic flights) and Terminal 2 (domestic and international flights), open 24 hours a day.

The terminals are 5 km (3.1 miles) apart. A complimentary shuttle bus connects both buildings, departing from the Arrivals area of Terminal 1 (Gate 2) and the ground transportation level of car park P4, next to Terminal 2.

The airport is located between the suburbs of Santacruz and Sahar, 26 km (16 miles) north of Mumbai.

There are parking facilities next to both terminals, with standard and premium options available 24 hours a day. There are also designated drop-off and pick-up areas in front of the buildings and exclusive spaces for two-wheeled vehicles. Airlines provide wheelchairs upon request. Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline about their needs at the time of booking. Facilities include lifts, adapted restrooms, and reserved parking spaces. Children under the age of 12 travelling unaccompanied will be escorted by airline staff from the check-in process.
