Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight stay at the airport
Guangzhou Airport is always bustling, even at night, so if you decide to stay overnight, it's best to have headphones or earplugs to block out the noise.
Where to rest: On the food court level, beneath the Departures area, you can find comfortable, armrest-free seating. Additionally, there are several VIP lounges beyond security control. Some are open around the clock, but most close at night. Alternatively, there is a hotel in the centre of the airport and another opposite Gate 12 of Terminal 1.
Baggage: Several left-luggage offices are available in both terminals, with some operating 24 hours a day.
Eating and drinking: The overnight dining options are located on the first floor of Terminal 1 and the first and fourth floors of Terminal 2.
Restrooms: Showers are available only in some VIP lounges, but not in the public restrooms.
Wi-Fi: Free for 5 hours.
Other services available 24 hours a day: ATMs, currency exchange offices, baby care facilities, duty-free shops, luggage wrapping.
