Christchurch airport (CHC)

Christchurch International Airport, opened on 18 May 1940, is one of the busiest in New Zealand. It operates numerous domestic flights and international destinations in Oceania, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the United States.

Christchurch Airport is located in the suburb of Harewood, 12 km (7.5 miles) northwest of the city.

Express Park - Three-level covered building with security cameras, located 1 minute from the terminal. Free motorbike and bicycle parking and a free pick-up/drop-off area on the ground floor.
Short Stay - Open-air, monitored area for short stays, connected to the main building via a covered walkway.
Long Stay - Ideal for stays longer than 3 days, uncovered and with security cameras, close to the International Arrivals Hall.
Orchard Road Car Park - Low-cost area for long stays.
Park and Ride - Affordable outdoor parking, connected to the terminal by free shuttle buses every 10 minutes.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Facilities include Braille-enabled ATMs, automatic doors, accessible drinking fountains, elevators, designated spaces within all car parks and adapted toilets. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should contact their airline prior to arrival.
