Capitán FAP José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles International Airport, opened on April 16, 1956, serves the city of Chiclayo, the department of Lambayeque and a large part of the northern region of the country. It operates domestic and international flights to Panama, and is used as support to Lima Airport in case of bad weather.

The airport is located within the urban perimeter of Chiclayo, 2 km (1.2 miles) southeast of the downtown area.

Taxi

Taxi stands are located at the exit of the terminal, where you will find vehicles of Empresa De Transportes De Servicio Especial Señor De Sipan (Tel +51 962 202 080). Travel time to downtown Chiclayo is about 10 minutes.

Inside the passenger terminal, there are offices of Rent a Car 3B (Tel +51 74 453 304 / 1 979 685 374), available from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
