Possibility to spend the night at Charlotte airport (CLT), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.
Spending the night at the airport
Charlotte airport is open 24 hours a day, so you will be able to spend the night inside the enclosure if you have a flight early in the morning or if your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather (in this last case, the airport staff can provide you with a sleeping cot). You will have to remain in the public area once the security controls close for the night. Make sure to bring something warm, as the air conditioning is usually quite strong.
Where to rest: There are few comfortable spots in the public area of the terminal, except for some padded benches in concourse E. If you have a sleeping bag, you can lay down inside the chapel, by the ticketing counters, or beneath the escalator in the baggage reclaim area. Another option (by paying or through a credit card offering the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, some of which are open 24 hours a day. If the passenger finally decides to go to a hotel, there are several options nearby, and some of them offer shuttle services.
Baggage: The terminal does not operate luggage storage offices.
Eating and drinking: There is a coffee shop on level 2 open during the night, otherwise there are vending machines.
Restrooms: Showers inside the Minute Suites lounges.
Wi-Fi: Access free of charge.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care room, chapel.
You can find several hotels nearby, most of which operate courtesy transfers for their guests.
