Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Debrecen airport has a small terminal and fairly basic facilities, but it is open 24 hours a day, so you can spend the night indoors if you have an early morning flight or if your flight is delayed.
Where to rest: There are benches in the waiting areas where you can sit and wait for your flight, but to rest you will most likely have to lie down on the floor. Make sure you bring something to keep you comfortable, such as a pillow and blanket, and something to keep you entertained, such as a book or electronic device. If you prefer more comfort, you can look for a hotel near the airport. See below for a list of the closest hotels.
Baggage: Luggage storage is not available. This means you will have to stay with your bags until check-in.
Eating and drinking: The shops inside the terminal close at night. Have refreshments ready beforehand.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available 24 hours a day: ATMs, baby changing facilities, children's playground.
