 Passenger Guide

Dubai International Airport, opened on 30 September 1960, is the main airport of the United Arab Emirates and the most important in the Middle East, as well as being one of the busiest globally. It operates international destinations on all continents.

Number of terminals - 3 - Terminals 1 (international flights), 2 (regional and low-cost flights), and 3 (international flights), open 24 hours a day.

A free shuttle bus service connects the terminals around the clock. Terminals 1 and 3 are also linked via a shared transit area. A people mover connects the different concourses of Terminal 3.

Annual passenger traffic: 92.3 million passengers passed through in 2024.

Information desks are available in both the Arrivals areas and Departure Halls of all three terminals. A tourist office is located in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 3.

The airport is located in the Al Garhoud district, 4.7 km (2.9 miles) east of Dubai city centre.

Parking services at Dubai airport (DXB)

Various parking options are available next to the three terminals, with premium areas next to Terminals 1 and 2. Additionally, directly in front of the main buildings, there are spaces for passenger drop-off and pick-up. Rates

Short-term – Recommended for stays of up to 5 hours, located near the terminal entrances.
Long-term – Areas for long-term stays with a regular shuttle bus service.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should contact their airline before their journey and inform them of their specific needs. Electric carts are available for passenger transport, as well as special waiting areas and assistance counters. There are also designated spaces in the car parks and special taxis, which can be recognised by their red roof and blue icons on the doors and rear window.
