Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Edinburgh airport is open 24 hours a day, but be aware that the lights are bright and the place is noisy, so it's best to have a sleeping mask, headphones or earplugs. It is also important to be aware of your belongings and take security measures while sleeping at the airport.
Where to rest: In the Arrivals Hall, and especially next to the baggage claim area, there are some benches without armrests, as well as in some cafeterias. Another option is the car rental facility, which has comfortable seating. The VIP lounges are closed at night, but offer greater comfort. In addition, several hotels in the vicinity offer shuttle services.
Baggage: There is a luggage storage facility in the terminal annex, but it operates from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Eating and drinking: The only options available during the evening are the
Costa and
Starbucks coffee shops.
Wi-Fi: Free for 2 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities, children's play areas, prayer room.
