El Paso International Airport, opened on September 8, 1928, is one of the busiest in the state of Texas, serving not only El Paso County, but also Western Texas, part of Northern Mexico and the south area of the state of New Mexico. It basically operates with domestic flights.

The airport has ATMs, public telephones, conference room and free Wi-Fi access. The USO Lounge is located near gate B6 and opens Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm; it offers drinks, snacks, TV, entertainment, plugs for electric devices, Wi-Fi, air conditioning (accessible for military and their families).

Food and Drinks- There are restaurants, fast food outlets and coffee shops on the ground floor and concourses A and B.
Shopping- Before and after the security checkpoint there are newsagents, gift shops, bookstore, clothing, electronics and flowers.

Public and private transportation

Bus - Sun Metro (Tel +1 915 212 3333) operates services from the airport. Line 33 travels to the city centre, Five Points Terminal, Loretto Academy and Bassett Place, while route 50 runs to downtown El Paso, Eastside Terminal, Main Library, Museum of History, Five Points Terminal, Bassett Place and Cielo Vista Mall.
