Public transportation services, licensed taxis and rideshare, private transfer companies and car rental services in Newark New Jersey airport (EWR)
Services are available from NJ Transit (Tel +1 973 275 5555) to the city, many of which have bus connections to New York. Tickets cost USD1.80.
Coach USA (Tel +1 908 354 3330 / 877 894 9155) operates the Newark Airport Express, an express service between the airport and New York City that departs every 45 minutes from 5:30 am to 10:45 pm. The fare is USD22.50 and travel time is 90-120 min. Stops include Grand Central Station, Bryant Park and Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Trans-Bridge Lines (Tel +1 610 868 6001) provides daily transportation to Clinton, Easton, William Penn Highway, Hellertown, Wind Creek Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley, Allentown and Wescosville, with fares from USD37.00-56.00. Buses can be boarded on Level 1, outside the baggage claim area of all three terminals.
There are also shared minibus services that can be booked at the information desks.
The AirTrain (Tel +1 800 247 7433) transports passengers to the airport station (fare: USD8.00). There, Amtrak services (Tel +1 800 872 7245) are available on the Northeast Regional line to Boston, Providence, Hartford, New York, Washington DC, Richmond, Petersburg, Norfolk and Richmond.
There also NJ Transit trains (Tel +1 973 275 5555) to Newark Penn Station (USD11.95, 6-7 min trip) and New York (USD17.10, 30 min trip) between 4:50 am and 2:20 am.
At Penn Station, connections can be made with PATH trains (Tel +1 800 234 7284) to Jersey City, Hoboken and Manhattan.
To Manhattan, Westchester, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, Upstate, JFK and LaGuardia airports.
