Faro Gago Coutinho Airport, opened on July 11, 1965, serves the Algarve region, southern Portugal and southwest Spain. It operates domestic and international flights to major destinations in Europe and Canada.

Information desks in the public area and the Departures Hall (6:00 am to 0:00 am). Next to the Arrivals area, there is also a tourist office open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm (Tel +351 289 818 582).

The airport is situated in the Algarve region, 7 km (4.4 miles) west of the city of Faro.

Three open-air parking areas for short and long stays are available 24 hours a day. In front of the Departures Hall, there is a passenger drop-off area (Kiss & Fly) which is free of charge for 10 minutes. Rates and reservations

P1 & P2 - Short-stay car parks located adjacent to the terminal.
P3 - Long-term sector 8 min. from the main building.
