Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Faro airport operates many seasonal flights, so in the high season, you may find it very busy. Although it is open 24 hours a day, passengers wishing to spend the night inside the airport will have to stay in the public area once the security checkpoint closes. The air conditioning is often very strong, so it is advisable to bring warm clothes or a sleeping bag.
Where to rest: There are plenty of benches without armrests, and there are two VIP lounges in the Departures Halls, although they close at night. There is also a range of accommodation nearby.
Baggage: There are lockers next to the P5 car park where you can leave your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: The available options close in the evening. Have snacks prepared in advance.
Wi-Fi: The service is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
