Florianópolis - Hercílio Luz International Airport, opened on June 21, 1927, is the most important in the state of Santa Catarina. It operates several domestic flights and international destinations in South America. The airport was rebuilt and reopened on October 1, 2019, and expanded to accommodate up to 8 million passengers per year.
