Madeira Island airport (FNC)

Cristiano Ronaldo Madeira Airport, also known as Funchal Airport or Santa Catarina Airport and opened on July 18, 1964, is one of the busiest in Portugal and serves the island of Madeira. It operates domestic flights and international destinations within Europe and the United States.

The airport is located in the town of Santa Cruz, on Madeira Island, 16 km (10 miles) northeast of the city of Funchal.

Access ramps, lifts, adapted toilets and designated parking spaces are available. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs during their stay at the airport should inform their airline of their needs at least 48 hours in advance.
