Westchester airport (HPN)

Westchester County Airport, opened in 1942, serves the county of the same name, in the state of New York, and Fairfield County, in the state of Connecticut. It mainly operates with domestic flights.

The airport is located 5 km (3 miles) northeast from White Plains and 53 km (33 miles) to the northeast of Manhattan.

Public and private transportation

Bus - Route 12 from Bee-Line (Tel +1 914 813 7777) provides daily services between the airport and TransCenter, in downtown White Plains (40-50 minutes travel), Purchase College, Manhattanville College and Armonk. The fare is USD2.75 and buses leave from in front of the terminal Mondays through Fridays between 7:30 am and 6:45 pm, Saturdays from 8:35 am to 6:15 pm and Sundays from 8:35 am to 5:35 pm.

Train - From the TransCenter, in the city centre, depart trains from Metro-North Railroad (Tel 511) to Grand Central Terminal, in New York City (40-50 minutes; USD16.00-19.00), and Wassaic Station, in Dutchess County (USD21.00).

Taxis - County Trip Service (Tel +1 914 200 1313) operates cabs from outside the terminal. The trip to the city centre takes 15-20 minutes.

Parking Garage - Adjacent to the terminal and open 24 hours a day, with covered and outdoor spaces.
Overflow/Long Term Lot - Available when the previous area is full, open from 5:00 am to 0:30 am. Courtesy shuttle buses connect it to the main building every 5 minutes.
