Irkutsk airport (IKT)

Irkutsk International Airport, opened on June 24, 1925, is an important air station in southeastern Siberia. Being very close to the Angara Reservoir, it is subject to a particular microclimate, with permanent fog banks that often disrupt operations. In addition to domestic flights, it operates international destinations in Eastern Europe, Egypt and some Asian countries.

Irkutsk airport is situated 8 km (5 miles) southeast of the city of the same name.
