Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Irkutsk airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can spend the night on the premises if you have an early morning flight or if your flight has been delayed. Remember to take with you personal items needed for the night, such as an inflatable pillow, a light blanket, earplugs and a sleeping mask. Also, keep your belongings safe at all times and be aware of your surroundings.
Where to rest: There are some seats inside the terminals, but these have armrests, so you'll probably be more comfortable sleeping on the floor (especially with a sleeping bag or blankets). Both terminals also have VIP lounges that are open 24 hours a day. However, the maximum stay is 2-3 hours. If you prefer to rest in a bed and have privacy, you can look for hotels nearby. Many accommodations offer shuttle services to and from the airport, making it easier for you to get to and from the site.
Baggage: Left-luggage services are available at both terminals.
Eating and drinking: Available options close in the evening.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing room.
