Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Indianapolis Airport is open 24 hours a day, so passengers with a connecting flight the next day can spend the night on the premises. Earplugs and blankets or a sleeping bag are recommended, as the terminal is cold and noisy at night.
Where to rest: You can find several comfortable chairs inside the terminal, especially in the baggage claim hall, the public area food court and next to the security checkpoint. There are also a couple of VIP lounges with more amenities, but these are closed at night. Nearby hotels, on the other hand, offer shuttle services for their guests.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities, so you will have to stay with your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Besides vending machines for snacks and drinks, the only food outlet open at night is
Farmer's Fridge.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, meditation room, baby changing facilities, pet relief areas.
