Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight stay at the airport
Karachi Airport is open 24 hours a day, so you can spend the night inside if you have an early morning flight or are on a tight budget.
Where to rest: There aren't many comfortable places inside the terminal, so it's advisable to have a sleeping bag or blankets in case you have to sleep on the floor. There is a 24-hour VIP lounge on the first floor, but the maximum stay is only 3 hours. There is also a hotel nearby, while the rest of the nearest accommodation is within the city, although most operate shuttle services for their guests.
Baggage: Luggage storage is not available, so you will need to stay with your bags until you can check in.
Eating and drinking: Some of the food outlets in the terminal are open all night.
Restrooms: Free showers in the Departures Hall.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available 24 hours a day: ATMs, bureaux de change, baggage handlers, prayer rooms.
