Spending the night inside an airport can be an uncomfortable experience, but sometimes it’s necessary due to delayed flights, long layovers, or a tight budget. If you decide to spend the night at Kunming Airport, make sure to bring an inflatable pillow, a light blanket, and earplugs to help you rest. Also, remember to keep your personal belongings secure at all times.

Where to rest: There are no designated resting areas within the terminal, so look for some reclining chairs, which are more comfortable. Alternatively, there are several VIP lounges available that offer more amenities if you are willing to pay or have a membership that grants access, although they close at night. On the first floor, there are private booths that you can book by the hour, and nearby there are various accommodations.

Eating and drinking: Retail outlets may be closed at night, so it’s best to be prepared and have snacks and something to drink ready in advance.

Baggage: The airport offers luggage storage services on the third floor and level B1, but only from 5:00 am to 0:00 am.
