Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, opened in 1975, is one of the international airports in Costa Rica. It operates with domestic and international flights to the United States, Canada, Central America and the United Kingdom.

The airport is situated 13 km (8 miles) to the southwest of the city of Liberia and 15 km (9 miles) away from the beach resort area.

Bus - Services from Pulmitan (Tel +506 2222 0610) go to the city of Liberia and other destinations, such as El Coco, San José, Cañas, Tilarán, Upala, Peñas Blancas, Las Juntas and Aguas Claras.
Transportes La Pampa (Tel +506 2665 7520), on the other hand, heads for the city of Nicoya.
Taxi - Official cabs are red and belong to Taxi Asociación Curubande (Tel +506 8449 9997). Available around the clock outside the main entrance to the International Arrivals Hall. It is recommended to agree on a fare before departing. Travel time to the city centre is 20 minutes.
