Miami International Airport has connections to all of Greater Miami. Various bus services, hotel and van shuttles, trains, cabs and private services such as
Uber or
Lyft are part of the means of transportation. Public transportation can be boarded at the Central Station, which is accessed by the free
MIA Mover train, which departs from the third level of the terminals.
What door-to-door services are available?
There are private and shared transportation alternatives aimed at groups, families or individuals. The best option is to
book online your transfer to or from the airport in advance. This way, a driver will be waiting for you and you will not have to negotiate prices with cabs or transfer companies. You can book a car for 3 people for USD100.00 (total price per vehicle). There are also vehicles for 5 passengers and minibuses for 11 and 14 people. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

How to get to South Beach by bus
Line 150 Miami Beach Airport Express departs every 30 minutes from 5:20 am to 11:20 pm for Mid Beach, running along Julia Tuttle Causeway. It then has limited service to South Beach via Collins Ave / Indian Creek Dr and Washington Ave. Fare: USD2.25.

What Metrorail lines go to the airport?
The
Metrorail Orange Line (Tel +1 305 891 3131) operates from 5:00 am to 0:30 am. It travels between the airport and Dadeland North (10-15 minutes travel time), at a cost of USD2.25. Other stops include Earlington Heights, Santa Clara, Culmer, Civic Center, Coconut Grove, South Miami and the University of Miami. The
Green Line runs to Palmetto, with stops in Hialeah, Tri-Rail and Brownsville.

What is the best way to get to Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach?
Tri-Rail train services (Tel +1 800 874 7245 / 954 783 6030) depart from the Central Station and connect Miami with Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. On their route, they pass through various stations within Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The fare to downtown is USD2.50 and the trip takes 10 minutes. The fare to the Fort Lauderdale airport is USD3.75 and USD8.75 to West Palm Beach.

How much does a cab cost and where are the taxi ranks?
Vehicles are available outside the baggage claim halls, on the lower level. The fare is metered. It is USD2.95 for the first 1/6 mile.
