Chubu Centrair International Airport, also known as Central Japan Airport and opened on 17 February 2005, is an air-island serving the Nagoya urban area. It is one of the most important in Japan and one of the most modern in the world. While it operates several domestic flights, most are international, with destinations in China, South Korea, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (domestic and international flights) and Terminal 2 (low-cost flights), located next to each other. Terminal 2 is open from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm, while Terminal 1 is open from 4:40 am to 11:30 pm. However, the Arrivals Hall on the second floor and the Access Plaza sector remain open 24 hours a day.

There are information desks on each floor, open from 6:40 am to 10:30 pm, and tourist offices on floors 1 and 2 of Terminal 1, available from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm. There are also volunteers in orange vests trained to provide information.
The airport is located on an artificial island in Ise Bay, in the city of Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture, connected to the land surface by a bridge and located 35 km (22 miles) south of Nagoya.
