Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Although it is not recommended, you may be able to sleep at Olbia airport. However, it may not be comfortable, as the airport lights are on all night and there may be noise from planes and other people spending the night there. Be sure to keep your personal belongings in a safe place and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Where to rest: The benches in the terminal are generally quite comfortable, but keep a sleeping bag or blankets handy in case you have to lie on the floor. There is also a VIP lounge with more amenities, but it closes at night. There are several hotels nearby that offer free shuttles to and from the airport if you want a longer rest.
Baggage: Luggage storage operates from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. This means you will need to stay with your bags until you can check in.
Eating and drinking: Have some food and drinks with you, as the airport shops and restaurants close at night.
Restrooms: There are showers in the boarding area. Available from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm during the winter and from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm in the summer.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available 24 hours a day: ATMs, nursing room, chapel.
