Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Passengers with an early morning flight can spend the night at Porto airport. The staff are usually tolerant of those who wish to rest in the public areas waiting for check-in time. The terminal is small and therefore very accessible for getting from one point to another. At night the place tends to be cold, so it is suggested to have a sleeping bag or blankets, as well as earplugs to insulate yourself from the noise caused by the cleaning staff.
There are plenty of comfortable benches and armchairs. Some cafeterias, after closing, have sofas and seating ideal for lounging, and there are secluded nooks and crannies on the upper level where you can lie down. Alternatively, for convenience, you can use the airport VIP lounge, although it closes at night. Alternatively, you can opt to spend the night in one of the nearby hotels, one of which is located opposite the airport.
There are lockers in the Arrivals Hall.
Eateries are usually open from around 5:00-6:00 am until midnight. In the early morning hours, there are only vending machines.
Access is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock
ATMs, baby changing facilities, lost and found office, first aid clinic.
