Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Ostrava airport doesn't operate many flights, and these are mostly seasonal, so it's a quiet place in general.
Where to rest: As a small airport, there aren't many facilities inside the terminal, and you may have to sleep on the floor. That's why it's advisable to have a sleeping bag or blankets. There is a VIP lounge on the first floor, but it is closed at night. On the other hand, the nearest hotels are about 10 minutes from the site, and might be a good option if you prefer to sleep in a bed.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities. This means you will have to stay with your bags until check-in time.
Eating and drinking: Food outlets are only open during flight times, so nothing is open at night.
Wi-Fi: The service is free for 6 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, nursing room, children's play areas.
