Portland Airport operates many flights within the U.S. and some international destinations, so it is busy, even at night. Thus, it is common to see many passengers waiting for their flight to depart inside the terminal, which is open 24 hours a day. It is advisable to have a sleeping bag and a blanket handy, as it is usually quite cold. To spend the night, it is necessary to have proof of a flight the next morning.

Where to rest: The seats do not have armrests, but they are curved. In Concourse C, you can find comfortable armchairs inside a cafeteria, as well as in front of gates 9, 11 and 20. Other recommended places are gates D5, D13 and E10. On the other hand, most of the terminal has carpeted floors if you prefer to use a sleeping bag. Another option (paying or with a credit card that provides the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more comfort and privacy, although they are closed at night. If the passenger decides to opt for a hotel, there are two options within the site, in addition to several in the vicinity, some of which offer shuttle services.

Baggage: There is no left-luggage service. This means that you will have to stay with your bags until you can check in.

Eating and drinking: Most options inside the terminal close a few hours before midnight, so it is necessary to purchase refreshments beforehand.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
