Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Overnight at the airport
Puerto Plata Airport is open 24 hours a day. However, it is a small space with limited facilities, so you won't find much to do while you wait.
Where to rest: As there are not many comfortable places inside the terminal, you will probably have to lie down on the floor. It is advisable, therefore, to have a sleeping bag or blankets. On the first level, there are a couple of VIP lounges that you can enter by paying or through different memberships. Note, however, that these are closed at night. Some of the nearby accommodations can provide a shuttle service if you book in advance.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage facilities on the premises.
Eating and drinking: Food outlets are closed at night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited access.
