Poznan Airport remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with early-morning flights or overnight connections to spend the night inside the terminal. However, as it is a medium-sized facility, services and comfort for resting are limited.
Where to rest
Most passengers staying overnight at the airport must remain in the public area (Landside), as the departures area usually closes after the last scheduled flight and security staff ask travellers to move to the main hall. Seating throughout the terminal is mostly metal and fitted with armrests, which makes lying down difficult. Many travellers choose to sleep on the floor, which is tiled and often cold, so it is advisable to have a sleeping bag, blanket or warm clothing. Corners near the children’s play area or behind the check-in counters are often the most sought-after spots due to their relative quietness.
Food and 24-hour services
Dining options within the airport do not operate throughout the night. Cafés and restaurants generally close after the departure of the last flight. However, vending machines offering snacks, coffee and cold drinks are available at several points around the terminal. Currency exchange services and cash machines in the arrivals area remain operational 24 hours a day.
Luggage and security
It is important to note that the airport does not offer a luggage storage or left-luggage service. This means you must keep your belongings with you at all times until your flight check-in opens (usually 2 or 3 hours before departure). The terminal is monitored by cameras and security staff, but it is recommended not to leave valuables unattended.
Connectivity and comfort
The airport provides free Wi-Fi access, making it easier to stay entertained during waiting hours. Due to the bright lighting in the terminal and occasional public address announcements, the use of a sleep mask and earplugs is suggested for a better rest experience.
A more comfortable alternative: If you prefer uninterrupted rest, the Moxy Poznan Airport and the Comm Hotel are located just a few metres from the terminal, offering immediate accommodation without the need for long transfers.
