Possibility to spend the night at San José airport (SJO), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.
Spending the night at the airport
San José airport is relatively small, but it is still a practical and safe place where to spend the night. Even so, it can be noisy and cold, so it is recommended to have headphones, earplugs and blankets for a better rest.
Where to rest: Although there are not many seats, you will be able to find a few comfortable benches throughout the terminal. In any case, the floor is also a viable option. Meanwhile, there are a few VIP lounges with more amenities and privacy. However, keep in mind that they close at night. Finally, some of the hotels in the city operate shuttle services to and from the airport.
Baggage: The terminal does not operate luggage storage offices.
Eating and drinking: Options open during the night both before and after the security control.
Wi-Fi: The access is free for 3 hours. There are also pre-paid premium choices.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, commercial stores, medical emergencies centre.
Some of the nearby hotels operate courtesy shuttles for their guests.
