Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
San Juan Airport operates many flights and connections, so it is common to see passengers transiting at night and waiting for their flight to depart. If you decide to spend the night inside the airport, consider bringing earplugs and something to keep you warm for a better night's sleep. Security checkpoints close at night, and then passengers must remain in the public area until morning.
Where to rest: While inside terminals A and B you will find some benches without armrests, the best place to rest is the corridor connecting both buildings, as it is the quietest place. On the other hand, in Terminals A and C, there are VIP lounges with more amenities, but they are closed at night. On the second level of Terminal D, there is a hotel.
Baggage: Luggage storage service on the second floor of Terminal D.
Eating and drinking: Food outlets are generally closed at night, but there is a 24-hour coffee shop.
Wi-Fi: Free access for 1 hour.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, convenience store, chapel, nursing rooms, baby changing areas.
