Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Salvador airport operates several flights and connections both day and night. Therefore, the movement is constant, and it is common to see many passengers waiting for their flight to depart in the early hours of the morning.
Where to rest: Seats in the terminal are scarce and have armrests, so be prepared to sleep on the floor, keeping a sleeping bag handy. The observation deck, on the third floor, is the quietest place on the premises. Inside the building, there are also a couple of VIP lounges with more amenities, and one of them is open 24 hours a day, but keep in mind that the maximum stay is 4 hours. On the other hand, if you book a room in advance in the city, you can coordinate your airport transfer directly with the hotel.
Baggage: A left-luggage service is available in the Arrivals area.
Eating and drinking: There are food outlets on both levels of the terminal that remain open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: The service is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: Bureaux de change, ATMs.
