Tabatinga International Airport, opened in 1965, serves the city of the same name, in the state of Amazonas. Being on the triple border between Brazil, Colombia and Peru, it is a strategic point of support for the air force, the army, the navy, the federal police, and provides support to international aviation according to the agreements signed between Brazil and its neighboring countries. It operates flights within the state of Amazonas, mainly to Manaus.
