Hewanorra International Airport (UVF)

Hewanorra International Airport, opened in 1941, serves the island of Saint Lucia and operates with international destinations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. It is the main of the two existing airports in the country.

 Location

The airport is on the southern cape of the island, near Vieux Fort Quarter, and about 53.4 km (33.2 miles) from the capital, Castries.

Buses - The airport is located close to the East Coast Road, and therefore has good access to public transport. Services can be boarded at the main road just outside the airport complex (journey time to Vieux Fort: 10 minutes).

Taxis - Cabs available outside the terminal. Journey time to Castries is approximately one hour.
