Volgograd International Airport, opened in 1952 and also known as Gumrak Airport, serves the city of Volgograd. It operates domestic flights and some international destinations in neighbouring countries. Due to being one of the venues for the 2018 World Cup, it has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
