Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, opened on 1 September 1991, is the main airport in the city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province. It operates numerous domestic and some international flights, mainly to neighbouring countries.

Number of Terminals - 3 - Terminal 1 (currently closed), Terminal 2 (domestic flights) and Terminal 3 (international and domestic flights). Open 24 hours a day. Terminals 2 and 3 are connected by free shuttle buses operating every 15 minutes between 8:30 am and 8:00 pm.

The airport is located 13 km (8.1 miles) northeast of Xianyang city and 25 km (16 miles) northwest of Xi'an.

Note that you won't be able to drive in China without a Chinese driving licence. An alternative is to rent a car with a driver.
