Afonso Pena International Airport, opened on October 23, 1944, is the most important in the state of Paraná and one of the busiest and most modern in Brazil. It operates domestic flights and some international destinations in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.

There is an information desk in the Departures Hall, on the first floor of the terminal, open between 6:00 am and 5:30 pm (Tel +55 41 3381 1229 / 1450 / 1494). Tourist office on the ground floor, available Mondays through Fridays between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sundays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (Tel +55 41 3381 1153).

The airport is located in São José dos Pinhais, 18 km (11.3 miles) southeast of Curitiba.

Área B - 70 meters from the terminal, with covered spaces.

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline of their particular needs prior to arrival. Within the airport, ambulifts are available for boarding and alighting from the aircraft, as well as vehicles adapted for the transfer of persons with reduced mobility.
