Frankfurt Airport, opened on July 8, 1936, is the largest cargo airport in the world and one of the busiest in Europe, along with Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and Heathrow Airport in London. It operates domestic and international flights to various destinations around the world.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminals 1 and 2, open 24 hours a day. The SkyLine train runs every 2-3 minutes from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm and connects concourses A, B, C and Z of Terminal 1 with concourses D and E of Terminal 2. In addition, courtesy shuttles depart every 10-15 min. from in front of the terminals 24 hours a day.

There are information counters on levels 2 and 3 of concourse B, in Terminal 1, and on level 2 of concourse D/E, in Terminal 2. Throughout the enclosure, there are also interactive screens with information in several languages.

Parking services at Frankfurt airport (FRA)

Terminal Parking - Covered car parks located adjacent to Terminal 1 (P1, P2, P3) and Terminal 2 (P8, P9). Minimum stay of 1 day.
Business Parking - Extra-large spaces with easy access to the check-in area, located in front of Terminal 1 (P4).
Holiday Parking - Area for long stays (minimum 3 days). With your advance booking, you will receive a free ticket to board the S-Bahn service to the terminals.
Drop-off Area - Passenger drop-off areas directly in front of the terminal doors. The first 10 minutes are free of charge.
Park, Sleep & Fly - For passengers who want to spend the night at the IntercityHotel, on the airport grounds, or directly at Terminal 1 at the Frankfurt Airport Marriott Hotel or the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel. A booking includes a stay of up to 15 days.

Facilities for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring special assistance should contact their airline or travel agent at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Facilities include ramps, lifts, automatic doors, adapted toilets and telephones, and reserved parking spaces. In hall B, there is a dedicated Lufthansa check-in area for unaccompanied children. They will be escorted by appropriate airline staff from the check-in area to the boarding gate and from the baggage reclaim area to departure.
