Spending the night at the airport

Portland airport operates with many flights inside the United States and some international destinations, so movement is constant, even throughout the night. It is frequent, therefore, to see many passengers waiting for their flight departure inside the terminal, which remains open 24 hours a day. It is recommended to have a sleeping bag and a blanket, as it is often pretty cold. To spend the night you need proof of an ongoing flight for the next morning.

Where to rest: Seats do not have armrests, but they are curved. In concourse C, you can find comfortable couches inside a coffee shop, as well as in front of gates 9 and 11. On the other hand, most of the terminal has carpeted floors if you prefer to use a sleeping bag. Another option (by paying or through a credit card that provides the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can get access to more amenities and privacy, though they close at night. If the passenger decides to opt for a hotel, there are two options inside the grounds, in addition to many more nearby, some of which offer shuttle services.

Baggage: There is no left-luggage service available. This means you must keep your luggage with you until check-in.

Eating and drinking: Most options inside the terminal close around midnight, so you should acquire refreshments beforehand.
