Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Puerto Plata airport is open 24 hours a day. However, it is a small place with limited facilities, so you will not find many things to do while you wait.
Where to rest: As there are not many comfortable spots inside the terminal, you will likely have to lie on the floor. It is recommended, therefore, to have a sleeping bag or blankets. On the first level, there are a couple of VIP lounges you can enter by paying or through different memberships. Keep in mind, however, that these close at night. Some of the nearby accommodations can provide a shuttle service if you book in advance.
Baggage: There are no luggage storage offices inside the enclosure.
Eating and drinking: Eateries are closed during the night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited access.
