Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Cairo airport is open 24 hours a day, but there are not many comfortable facilities for resting. Passengers are not allowed to enter the boarding areas until 3 hours before their flight departure. Have your passport handy, as the security staff will ask you for it often.
Where to rest: The best place for resting is level 3 of Terminal 3, where you can find plenty of padded benches. Another option (by paying or through different memberships) is to use one of the VIP lounges, which are open around the clock. Next to the enclosure, on the other hand, there are a couple of hotels.
Baggage: The airport does not have luggage storage offices.
Eating and drinking: Commercial stores close at night, so it is recommended to have some snacks ready beforehand.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
